INNOVATIVE DESIGN
Marinevac has been cleaning vacuum pipework systems for over 5 years and have used most of the products & techniques available on the market. The company has assisted with the development of the PiranhaVac acid injection unit as a result of continued demand from the market. The advantages of the “PiranhaVac” Unit in comparison with other standard techniques are as follows:
- The “PiranhaVac” is unobtrusive, simple, safe and user friendly. The equipment can be used by the operator as a regular maintenance tool.
- The unit is mobile and easy to set up.
- The method is non-damaging to pipework, toilet mechanisms or biological sewage treatment plants.
- The “PiranhaVac” unit is the only system available on the market which effectively cleans the Vacuum Toilet System whilst all of the toilets remain in operation. As a result, the cleaning can take place at any time whilst the vessel is in the shipyard, on the quay side or even underway carrying a full complement of crew and guests. The cleaning technique allows the operator to perform the cleaning without any effect or disruption to the vessel’s normal operation.
- The Marinevac cleaning method is specifically designed to clean vacuum pipe lines, especially LORO and BLÜCHER piping where the push fitting joints are designed to tighten under vacuum, it is not recommended that this type of piping is cleaned under pressure.
